i have been on sertraline for just over 3 years, started on 50mg then up to 100mg. all has been fine them boom out of the blue my husband of 18 told me and our 15 and 14 year old that he didnt love me anymore and moved out. i am a wreck. i know i meed to take each day as it comes and look after myself and kids however each day at the mo is so so hard. i habe started to get physical amxiety symptoms, feeling hot and flushed, shaky inside, clamy . this tends to be in the morning and after a chat to a friend or too a few tears things easy and by the evening i feel more comfortable and ok and sleep ok. then bang same next morning. i am worried as i dont want a co,plete melt down as i need to be strong for my kids hence should i go up? but also i realise that what i am feeling is situational and are normal feeling for the postition i am in, and maybe i need to try and deal with at first. dont want to become numb to the situ. any advise please?

So sorry you are going through this Natalie. I think anyone would be thrown for a loop in that situation, but it's made worse when you suffer from anxiety. Of course you don't want to be numb to the situation but you also have to help yourself to get through it. Do you have a therapist? I think a therapist could definitely help you deal with this and could also offer advice on increasing your dose. Or if your doctor prescribes your medication I would ask the doctor. Maybe go up temporarily to help you get through the crisis. Love and hugs to you that things will get better.

so sorry to hear that from u. I think u better see therapist, if u want to up is up to u.. but the side effect from upping dose will make u more anxious but sometimes our body is different if u dont have the side effect fron previous u can upper the dose . Try learn mindfullness and deep relaxation so that u can be calm and talk to someone u trust and can help u get through this like your parent / family. I hope u can get thru this and get well soon. Take care.
