    Hi Aberzerk,

Yes, I have had a Cheilectomy on August 2nd. I had an injury and ended up with post traumatic Arthritis.   The surgery is pretty simple. Some pain is to be expected. I had a splint cast for 2 weeks and then just a shoe. The shots do not work... well, they didn't for me.  The shots will just masks the pain. And if you are in an orthotic already then you may be a good candidate for the surgery.

Try the shots first. I believe you can have 2 a yr.  I had one and it worked for about 1 hour.

       Good luck!
