toe fusion post operative recovery

hi everyone

HAS ANYONE HAD THIS OPERATION IN THE PAST? AND WHAT WERE THEIR STAGES OF RECOVERY?

I HAVE BEEN OUT OF HOSPITAL FOR A WEEK NOW AND CANT STAND BEING ON MY FOOT FOR MORE THAN ABOUT 5mins.

WHEN WILL THIS IMPROVE. i see my doctor in a week from now for post op review and stitches removed.

    Foot surgery generally takes months to recover from. You are so early in the recovery process - only a week out. Your pain is very normal. I suggest taking it easy and letting your body heal. Take pain meds as prescribed. It will get better.

      thanks so much for taking the time to reply. im now three weeks since the operation and feeling much better. NO PAIN unless i stand for too long so spending most of the day with the foot raised.
