Toe Nail Fungus Or Trauma?

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hello, I am 19 and I had this problem for months now close to a year. All my other nails are healthy, I don't do any manicure except trimming. I tried a brush on anti nail fungus treatment for a week but didn't see any improvements. I'm not sure if this is fungus or trauma. It seems to keep growing the same and it is slightly brittled and layered. I would like to know the proper diagnosis so I can start proper treatment or should I just wait it out? Image is provided.

    Hi,

This is a fungal infection of your nail, called onychomycosis.

This is what you will get:

Topical clotrimazole solution, apply 3-4 drops twice a day.

    General measurements

Dry your feet carefully, avoid wearing rubber shoes, or boots that produce a lot warm feet and promote perspiration; use of sandals in the bathroom, especially in common use bathrooms, and use of drying powders.

If this doesn't do it, than I recommend you to visit a dermatologist, what would follow is an oral therapy
