Toe problem

I have been diagnosed with 'churchills foot'  has anyone heard of this. I have searched online and can find no information at all.

    Hi Paula,  when I searched, diabetes kept coming up

    'Churchill's pocketbook of Diabetes'

    &

    'Churchill's pocketbook of differential diagnosis'

    Who gave you this diagnosis?  It almost sounds as though someone is trying to fob you off.

      I was diagnosed at hosp by a chiropodist.  He said because my second and third toe have created a gap that makes them create a 'v' sign. It is commonly known as churchills foot. He said nothing will correct it.

      Since the 'Churchill' presumably refers to the V sign, it's probably a nickname for something else. Or else chiropodists consider it so insignificant as for it to not have a serious name.

      Toes do odd things. My second toe is climbing up over my big toe and my rheumy suggested a toe separator.

      Thinking along the same lines for your toes, why not try binding them together for as long as you can bear to (give them breathing time too!).

      It seems toes have a habit of wandering off in all directions, but apparently can be lured back to their rightful position with the right help.

      Give it a go. Expect it to take a while, though.
