I have been diagnosed with 'churchills foot' has anyone heard of this. I have searched online and can find no information at all.

Toes do odd things. My second toe is climbing up over my big toe and my rheumy suggested a toe separator.
Thinking along the same lines for your toes, why not try binding them together for as long as you can bear to (give them breathing time too!).
It seems toes have a habit of wandering off in all directions, but apparently can be lured back to their rightful position with the right help.
Give it a go. Expect it to take a while, though.
