Toe surgery pin bent

Posted , 1 user is following.

Howdy! I had a hammertoe surgery and a pin was inserted. I was so careful and walking with the boot but somehow the pin got bent. I had my second postop appointment and this was discovered in the x-rays. The surgeon told me normally it doesn’t hurt to remove the pin but my situation is different because the pin is bent. Wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how hard was it to remove the pin? I’m not super anxious about it but I always like to know going into a situation kind of what to expect. I will have some painkillers on board when the procedure is done in a couple of weeks. Thank you!
