Have ever had a cervical MRI? nerve or spinal cord compression can cause these symptoms with OR without pain. Look up cervical myelopathy , its caused by stenosis ( narrow spinal canal) or accidents, falling or whiplash.

I suffered with fibro for 18 yrs before I was correctly diagnosed with myelopathy in 2015. I now have bladder issues, gait problems weak extremities and dexterity issues..though I never had neck pain my cord was quit compressed from whiplash back in 1997.

    Hi,

The bladder issues are classic c/s symptoms. My bladder problems were being unable to urinate, it took about 13 months to get sorted. My neurosurgeon was adamant that my c/s was not to blame, according to him the spinal cord was not being pinched at that level. However, eventually after many unnecessary tests the urologist, after urodynamics video and pressure testing confirmed that my bladder sphincter was unvoluntarilly spamming thus not allowing the bladder muscles to relax and function correctly.

Loss of all upper body strength, legs painful and weak, poor coordination and unable to hold properly are my main problems. Cervical stenosis with spondylosis and myolepathy at levels c4 c5 c6 and c7 unable to operate as the adjacent vertebrae are not stable enough for complete cervical spine fusion.

    Best of luck,

    Mike.

Isn't it sad how doctors do not listen to us? We know our bodies as we have been in them the most. I have a picture somewhere when I find I will post it shows you how each level of your spine and all the areas affected. You will be relieved to see how many areas are affected as it is not in your head. I know how frustrating it is.

I do too have you had an MRI of your spine lately. It is all connected!

I had this problem and it was getting worse before my ACDF surgery. This problem has resolved completely since the surgery for C5/6. The change has been amazing. So push hard and document your problems and take them to any appointments.
