Told I could have meniers disease

hi all, I saw an audiologist a few days ago for a hearing test but had to rebook due to a wax buildup in my right ear. I have booked an appointment to have my ears syringed followed by a hearing test in a couple of weeks.

The audiologist asked about my symptoms but didn't ask what triggers my vertigo or whether it's spontaneous. I told him I have tinnitus which is a high pitch sound. He then said it's highly likely I have meniers disease.

I told him I don't have the hearing loss, ear fullness or pressure and tinnitus during an episode of vertigo which I thought was a classic symptom of meniers and that I sometimes get episodes I'm on a boat during the day but I only get the spinning sensation in bed or when waking up.

The vertigo episodes lasts a few seconds to minutes but I seem to be able to control them by keeping still.

When I first had vertigo 7months ago i was asleep and went to hospital. The Doctor did the hallpike test which was negative but I don't think he performed it properly as my head weren't flat on the bed. 2 months ago I performed the test again with the ENT doctor and it was once again negative but I hadn't had any vertigo for a few weeks and said the bppv is gone and I'm still feeling dizzy because I have pppd "positional persistent dizziness".

The audiologist said he thinks my doctor's haven't been honest with me and I could have bppv and meniers. I first got vertigo the morning after I went on a ride at a funfair and thinks it could of triggered both conditions which I find strange. Does this sound like meniers? And is it safe to have ears syringed with vertigo and dizziness? I don't want it setting it off. and would a normal hearing test eliminate meniers disease even though ive only had vertigo for 7 months?

Thanks!
