Told it's in my head. I think it might be a vitamin deficiency.

Started with pain in between my shoulder blades. Then found I couldn't sleep at night on my side as I had flank pain. And time one of my arms kept going numb and felt weak. Doc said I needed to relax. I have autism, so he seems to figure I'm always stressed. I'll concede, I am at times. After 3 months of this it really started.. Symptoms kept appearing and felt like Russian Roulette. Feet and hands either cold, tingling, or numb. Leg or arm on my right side numb or tingling. Hair follicles on legs seemed to become ingrown. Skin itches and random red bumps. Veins in all extremities swell and hurt. Got so bad 2 weeks ago I could barely walk and with no sleep - due to symptoms and restless legs and waking up for no reason all the time. Started taking vitamins. B12 2,000 mg + daily multivitamin + D3 100mg. Noticed some symptoms reduced to minimal or on some days gone. Seems like I now after a week I have these days and then symptoms all flare up. Leaving me to wonder is it working? Does anyone else relate to these symptoms? Can't see a doc as Corona time and his repeated phone call that it's in my head have left me helpless. I f

If the vitamins have given me a break from the fatigue, and reduced the numbness. I can touch and walk again without unconfirmed. but my nerves, veins, and skin symptoms don't seem to going away or if they do, they come back.

    Hi ean,

it is frustrating when we have symptoms that aren't easily explained but we know are real. I have had B12 deficiency in the past and I took supplements for a couple of months so if they are helping, I would say keep on with them, even if not helping all the time. Can you remember doing anything before the shoulder blade pain that was physically more than usual? or were you I'll just before? I have pain in this area quite a bit and nothing shows up on MRI scans. I was in a car crash and then started with the pain, not always there, sometimes really bad headaches, then gone. None of it makes sense and I have seen a few specialists so, they put it down to the crash. I get one cold foot and a freezing cold nose with no reason for this. sometimes my hand too. With the vitamin d deficiency, this can cause pain and so it could be a factor.

I had low iron before lockdown ( I am in the UK) and am taking a supplement for this. The nurse prescribed it. It can help with fatigue and also it helps with other issues. There are no non essential blood tests here until lockdown ends so, I am still taking the iron.

I know that it's difficult but, try not to worry about the symptoms too much. When I had the B12 deficiency, I kept falling to one side and my heart would pound, I was convinced it was something more but, this was all that came back and the symptoms got better with time and the supplement. I felt all my concentration was on the symptoms.

    Hope that helps

      Thank you, Beverly.

Your msg gives me strength to continue and see if it continues to help.

Shoulder pain started for no reason. Same time I noticed white skin spots showing up on my legs. Thought it was just old age 😜. But they've spread and are on my forearms and hands as well now.Guess vitamins and time will tell. Hoping I can talk again to the doc soon to review what I've experienced on vitamins.

      Again, thank you. 🤗

It might be an over dosage on vitamin tablets. It could be symptoms of major stress.
