I was thinking about having a tomato with my lunch tomorrow but I have heard you shouldn't eat them when you have DD. Does anyone eat them and are they ok Thanks

Hello Susan
Lots of DD suffers like me cannot dare eat Tom.
I love Toms but have not dare touched them after
being advised by my Surgeon
It's the small seeds in them can possibly cause problems
I've suffered over the years and frighten to touch them

I haven't eaten them for years. I love tomatoes but can't eat them ,
it's the pips, you can scoop the middle out but your still left with the skin. They're very acidic too. Can't eat cucumber either.

I eat them occasionally. I take the skin off first by dunking in boiling water for a minute, then in cold to cool them and the skins should come off easily. Then cut into 4 and scoop out the seeds. As you will guess this is no good with small toms as there's not much left.

Hi Susan
This is how I have tomatoes. I put them in a bowl, and pour boiling water on them. I leave for 20 seconds, then the skin peels straight off. Then I cut them in half and take out the seeds. So I'm just left with a skinless, seedless shell. I find this OK and as I love tomatoes, it's better than no tomatoes!

It's quite the challenge trying to remove all seeds and skin as in cucumbers too.
