Good luck for your knee I had mine four years ago and it was extremely painful afterwards, I had to sleep in recliner chair for five weeks as far too painful to lift my leg on the bed, but you will get through it, keep doing all the exercises.  I used a child's skate board to roll my leg up and down brilliant even though it caused lots of laughs.  I am going in tomorrow for a second hip!

How are you Laura? I expect it is too soon for you to know much, but I've got my fingers crossed ( are toes allowed to be crossed for a hippie?) If so, those as well!

You are a very kind lady and think of others before yourself, so I am sure karma will be good to you. We are all thinking of you and wishing your pain away. I hope it's working

      Oh dear Laura,

That sounds awful, darling - I am happy to see you here though - doesn;t matter what you write - we know how therpeutic it is to share emotions eventhough I cannot imagine the pain you are in --

      How about the knee forum?

Crying is good - just let it come and surrender to it okay?

And going to the toilet is a big accomplishment !!!

Be very gentle with Laura -

Big warm hug and please come back here anytime !

      you are so loved

      Hi Laura,

I love the idea of Renée's healing circle - can I join to add my healing thoughts?

Actually this whole forum seems like a giant healing circle to me. I have been blown away from my first encounter, by the generousity of member in providing so much support, advice and caring.

I hope you can feel all of us out here sending you love as you start to recover from this 'experience'.

I remember one of your first posts to me just after my first thr - reassuring me that the path of this journey was hard but got easier and that I should come back anytime for advice, to vent or just for a kind word. And this really helped me - especially when my Mom died just after my operation. Thank for that.

It sounds as if you are really having a tough time and I am very sorry for that. You have had such a hard stretch with your own operations and with family challenges. You were likely already burnt out, so you that don't have your normal strength to marshall to recover from this knee operation.

But ... I suspect that the recovery path is similar if more intense. The first week is the worst (esp as you had such a rough time in surgery). I am glad that you are in rehab and I hope that it will allow you to recoup a little better before you return home. Wil you have any home support from the system or do you need to fend alone with family?

Sending a cloak of love and caring to wrap yourself in. Be kind and remember all your advice about getting through the first two weeks. You can do it.

      Hugs,

      L
