i have been on sertraline about 18 months now. i feel better and less anxious which is great. However about a month ago i started getting a sore, rough feeling on my tongue and horrible taste in my mouth. I have been getting different brands every new prescription and wonder if its anything to do with this?
It could be unconnected but wondered if anyone else developed this too? its quite unpleasant.

Hi Jenny, hmm, I'm not sure if this is related to sert. It sounds more like oral thrush.
You might want to go see the doc to to make sure. Hope this helps.

yes! i just upped my dose from 25mg to 37mg a week ago and after about 3 days my tongue and mouth felt tingly, almost numb and sort of itchy. it comes and goes. given my heightened anxiety it is not a welcome new side effect esp since theres not a lot of folks talking about it. i hope youre feeling better.
