Tongue feels sore & swollen. Anxiety?

Hi everyone,

Been super anxious for a couple of years now but this year all my fuses have blown.

Last 2 or 3 months I've lost patches of skin from my tongue, it hurts, and I'm convinced it's swollen. I have teeth marks on it.

Had recent full bloods taken (high cholesterol that is now thankfully normal) & doc said I was in great health.

I'm just convinced it is swollen but a few people have said it isn't. But it's patchy, red and sore as anything.

Anyone experiencing this? Any advice?

what did your doctor say about it? Also, sometimes we can feel as though something is swollen when it actually isn’t. go by what your doctor tells you and it sounds like you are in great health. If you have any other signs or symptoms that come up regarding your tongue ask your doctor about it. I haven’t heard about the tongue being affected by anxiety but it may be possible. are you eating anything different that might cause this? Maybe it just needs time to heal. Feel better Take care
