Tongue problem

Can someone please help me out and look at this picture.

I have this weird texture on the back half of my tongue. Whenever I eat, the food gets stuck on the marked part of my tongue. This part is also always dry while the front half of my tongue does not suffer from this. Is this normal or should I go to the doctor?
