Tonsil pain

i got mono last end of November/beginning of December. it began the last weekend of nov that went into the first weekend of December. after many doctor and hospital visits, misdiagnosis etc i was finally diagnosed with mono in early January. i knew i felt off, but i had one year old twins and i chalked it up to that although i had two episodes kf flu like symptoms and an episode of eyelid swelling for about a week. the worst and most lasting thing i had was pain in my left tonsil area. it only hurt when i swallowed and only the left side. it lasted around 7 weeks. so the whole time i was sick and into the weeks of January towards the end. fast forward here we are almost a year since i had it. im noticing that when i am feeling run down and stuff, or if i talk too much (i have to talk all day at work) my left side tonsil area hurts and it feels exactly how it felt when i had mono. i am so freaked out. is this just part of it? when i had mono and went to the hospital the second time before it was diagnosed I was freaking out asking the doctor if I had throat cancer because of the pain and how long it was lasting. then when I was trying to figure out what was wrong with me because they couldn't a whole bunch of stuff about leukemia and lymphoma was coming up and I got so freaked out and convinced I was sick with something much worse. even after i was diagnosed i still was scared and afraid they got it wrong. it really destroyed me for the majority of this year I have been in therapy since the end of January because now I have extreme health anxiety so this pain in my tonsil that seems to be coming back is really freaking me out. has anyone had this?? is it mono again?! is it just something that happens after having mono will this linger as part of the continued healing?!

I had a tonsillectomy 4 years ago and since I got mono in february, I had tonsillitis like every month, just like before I had them removed.

Basically I don't even have tonsils and I still get strep throat and painful swallowing all the time. Again.

Dr. said its cause some tissue was left there after the tonsillectomy and it became cryptic and inflamed again. marvellous.

I have it on the right side where it's visible like 2x the size compared to the left and I get pains all the time in my lymph node and tonsil there.

    It sucks.
