Tonsil stone that can't be removed

Hello,
I've been having a sore left side of my throat and also a bitter taste in my mouth in the mornings, although I don't have bad breath I thought I'd search for tonsil stones.
Last night I found and removed a large one from my left tonsil, it was hidden behind the flap of skin at the top of my mouth and was only visible when the flap was moved and the tonsils were pushed forward (I only saw it initially when I gagged whilst poking around). Now that stone is gone said bitter taste has gone with it, woohoo... but...
The problem now is that within the crypt the stone came out of is a massive chunk of tonsil-stone-like debris, it's rock solid but isn't "round" more shaped like the crypt it's in.
I tried for 2 hours to get it out last night using using salt water gargling, q-tips, back of a pencil and even a capri sun straw but no luck, it doesn't move at all and even a light touch with a q-tip in the area causes bleeding.
I bought a tonsil stone removal kit, it arrived today and after 3 hours with that I have concluded that it must be physically attached to my tonsil flesh, hard to explain why but basically how it behaves and interacts with the surrounding flesh.
Here's a photo;

n.b. that black spot is blood from where I tried to 100% prove my theory by grabbing the stone with engineering tweezers, but I missed and pinched my tonsil, causing it to bleed everywhere...
What options do I have for getting it out sharp-ish? I don't think it could be removed by conventional means and I have a holiday in a month, so I'd like it gone before then.
Long term I have been looking at private tonsillectomies but it's not clear if you have to have GP referral to get it removed privately, I've asked a local private hospital - anyone ever done this?
Surgery may seem drastic as realistically it's not causing me issues; I don't have bad breath and it probably only hurts more now cause I've been mashing it up - however I am very hygiene conscious and the thought of that disgusting thing in my mouth and god knows how many more hidden away really, really gets me down and it has distracted me all day, all I could think about was removing it with my new kit and yet I've failed to do so... I think a private tonsillectomy would only be about £3,000 and I would happily pay this to never, ever have to worry about them again...!
Cheers,
Ryan
