Tonsillitis antibiotic resistance ?

Hi all, My name is Amy and im 20 years old i have had swollen lymph nodes on both sides of my neck for about 7 months now! I will try and make this as short as i can as its been a long process.
in the beginning i ended up going to my GP and had ultra sounds and went to a speacialist and i also got sent to an oncologist which thankfully he didnt seem to worried although amungst all of those issues i had glandular fever and also major side effects of my epilepsy medication which landed me in hospital for almost a week.
I also had an enlarged tonsil on the left but i hadnt mentioned it at the beginning as it was the least of my problems, although now after changing medications and many doctors visits and specialists appointments i finally got it looked at.
My GP was shocked at how bad it looked and gave me a script for 875/125mg of augmenten/amoxicillin and i had 2 repeats of that and it didnt work. he has now given me a script for Cefaclor wich apparently is really strong stuff so i have almost finnished the first repeat and i kind of think its starting to look worse!
Not to mention i feel worse after taking them, and i'm thinking maybe i have built up a ressistance to the antibiotics and now am a bit worried and wondering if its gonna be a problem to get rid of?
Any advice or ideas on whats happening would be much appreciated!

Did your enlarged lymph node normalize?
If not, you will need to check with a specialist immediately and get a swab test for
the throat, or perhaps a biopsy of lymph nodes.
If bacterial infection you will need to change to a stronger antibiotic dose.
Amoxicillin is not given in EBV infection, if thats what you have.

yer well they actually came up about 8 Months ago so it's been a long time and they are really starting to bug me especially when im lying on the couch they just feel so big its just really uncomfortable and my ears have been hurting on and off which i am worried about as i had a cholestiatoma in my left ear when i was 8 and it's the same side as the swollen tonsil idk if its related but i really dont want that to come back because that was the worst pain i have ever been in and out of that have 20% less hearing in that ear so yer it sucks haha !

Usually choleastiatoma should not cause pain, but it can if it is trapped under skull base.
Check with ENT specialist who will order a CT scan.
