I believe acid reflux, but really I've not got a clue.

I've had mine for 2 and half years. It causes me pain when I speak for any amount of time and I've seen about 13 ENTs about it.

Only a few months ago I asked for it and my lingual tonsils to be removed in an effort to fix it, they removed my lingual tonsils but didn't remove this lump!

Do you have pain at all? Have you had your tonsils removed? How long has the problem been there?

Did you request for the lingual tonsils to removed or the palatine tonsils? They both serve the same purpose but located differently.

I requested the lingual ones be removed but I've had my paletine ones removed many years ago due to tonsillitis.

For me, I believe mine are regrowing on one side (the side with the issue), but that extra bit sticking out causing the pain, I'm unsure about.

Yep! Sure did, the results came back and while they don't make any sense to me, they pretty much said its not serious but the tissue they tested had is made of inflamed, tonsil tissue. I have a copy of the biopsy here but as I say, it doesn't make much sense. I googled a lot of it but it didn't help too much.

Hi Taylor, Absolutely see your DR, these bumps can be a list of things, strep, tonsilitis, viral or bacterial, even looking at the back of your tongue, it could be thrush(fungal)...if they swab it, they can give you an answer, don't worry...get some tests, see your DR and go from there...all of these things can be treated or go away on their own...just be sure to go in if you get the chance & follow safety guidelines for where you live!!! Good Luck & BEST WISHES💒🎶♾🍀☮🌈🐾

Hi Taylor, Well there's a few things...I assume you are fairly young, so I don't want you to worry, consider these things first & I have including warning signs to watch for that everyone with chest pain needs to know..I think it is one of these things: if you have anxiety, it can cause chest pain so try relaxing, de-stressing getting worked up can cause the next thing too... stress/anxiety can increase stomach acid, it causes acid to come up your oesophagus & causes pain in your chest...if antacids like TUMS help, its probably acid, also eat small meals, don't skip it makes acid worse...try those things plus; drink water it thins the stomach acid, crackers & bread might help...if those things work, you need to keep relaxing & reduce acid....Warnings: IF you get a feeling of an elephant on your chest, difficulty breathing, pain in your jaw, upper back, shoulder, pain or tingling in your arm, sweating, nausea...these are things that require a DR visit ASAP....see if the first things work, try not to stress, you may just need some meds for your throat & hopefully things settle down...NEVER hesitate to call a DR if you have symptoms that are concerning BEFORE your appt...it is what they are there for..Good Luck, hope you feel better soon, let me know if you need anything else!! LL🍀☮
