Too anxious to take Sertraline

i have 50mg Sertraline to take but so concerned about the side effects.

I take just 10mg of oxazepam for anxiety , mainly to sleep, and they suit me really well . 10mg almost every night.

i have had these for years and havent abused the dose!  My doctor who knows me has no problem prescribing them but I cannot get to see her! And so the other docs in the practice want me to get off oxazepam and take antidepressants.  My illness is bad anxiety and muscle tension, not depression.

i should try SERtraline but dread the side effects

any advice? Im 63 and take no other drugs, surely one 10mg tablet of oxazepam is not bad thing!

    I am 68 and take 20 mil of the generic Lexapro! I have anxiety issues and alittle depression! I also take Klonopin when needed which is not very often! I also see a therapist for my anxiety and seems to be helping some! I do not think your taking 10 mil tablet is bad! If that med helps you cope why change the menu!

    Hi there. Like you I was so scared of taking sertaline incase it made me worse. . I did have side effects and that is no lie but 3 months have gone by and I'm doing great. I have my life back.

    Personally I wouldn't start on 5omg. I started on 25 foe a few weeks the gradually up to 50. I'm now on 75 and no problem
