Too much fibre?

Hi guys hope you're doing ok. I'm on day 4/5. I'm currently doing about 6 bm a day and a mixture of some formed and some diarrhoea. Is this normal? I'm taking senna at night and lactulose twice a day. I'm not eating loads just mainly fruit, noodles, soup and bowl of bean flakes. Am I bming too much? Should I lower the fibre or eat more normally? Any advice appreciated x

I would stay only with the Senna once a day...Depends how you are feeling, at the first week i was eating already  sort of regular with a lot of water and taking one Movicol (stool softener) per day. In my experience too soft or diarrhoea can be more painful and unconfortable than a little harder stool. Take your time, for me it took almost one month to feel somehow normal again.

It appears the lactulose is a anti-constipation treatment as is the senna. What did your surgeon prescribe? I am on metamucil (have been for months before the surgery) and just a 1/2 tsp of laxaday which brings water into the bowel. It's a balancing act to get right for oneself.

Do you have irritable bowel syndrome by any chance? Drink lots of water and speak with your surgeon about this, or whomever is your doctor. You DO NOT want to get constipated.
