Took 3 pills of probiotics over 3 days to make IBS symptoms better, got way worse!

I have IBS for the last 10 years, suffering from the symptoms almost everyday, went to many doctors, did lots of tests but no results so diagnosed with IBS.

So desperately went online to see something that could make me feel better, read about probiotics so bought pearls IC, took 3 pills of them over 3 days, stopped after I started getting very bad stomach aches and nausea.

Has been 2 days since I stopped but not feeling better that I haven't slept for 3 days more than 6 hours total, anyone knows what should I do ?

    Pls try vsl probiotic.

      To be honest I don't think I'll try anything else cause I'm scared it would get worse than that.

      Daily: food takes forever to be digested, pain in my left bottom side (sometimes both left and right), heartburn, stomach ache (but not nearly as much as what I'm having now), loss of appetite (mostly I eat cause I should eat), can't focus

      Sometimes my hands and feet gets really cold when I get sick (even if it's so hot)

      No never, I have an appointment with a gastroenterologist but in 5 weeks, maybe he will ask me to do that

      I done endoscopy last Dec, was traced of inflammation in my stomach. My symptoms were pain after eating when the food went in my stomach and many gases released.

      Yes. I too once took a famous probiotic which have many rave reviews in amazon but once i took it, my stools become very loose everyday for a week and begin to form stomach pain in my abdomen....from there I became probia of it but the pain still remain even though i stopped it for months....i have no choice but to visit my gastro doc and he intro this to me....i have no choice but to try and my amazement the discomfort is going away day by day and my stool is normal. My diarrhea once in a week also gone. But the cons of this is the price and need to be in cool place.

      I read that the VLS 3 is especially for IBS, or ulcerated colitis to be taken under your Doctors supervision. What was th name of the one that upset you, if you don't mind me asking.

    Hell Mak;  I don't know a lot about IBS, except from what I do know, and if your are having serious abdominal pain, I would present myself to your local Emergency Department, as what you are suffering from now, may not be IBS...could be many things....you need to be seen by a Medical Oficer...x-rays, bloods, hopefully an ultra-sound...a FULL workup...there are many probs that can occur inside our bowel/intestines, and some can be of an emergency situation, so please consider going ASAP...hoping I'm wrong, but don't put off going...better to be safe than sorry...Bron

      I don't have abdominal pain these days, sometimes I get it but not so often.

      I did lots of blood and stool tests but all came out negative, the doctor referred me to a specialist but it's in 5 weeks and I have exams next week and the week after, that was the main reason I tried probiotics

    Maybe lemon in water would flush you out. As much as you can drink. I do think the Candida is a common problem and that diet could be beneficial. I got relief from my stomach and throat problems when I took a milk thistle complex in tablet form. I may suffer twice a year if I am socialising and eating or drinking too much. It's supposed to be good for your liver too.

      Thanks, I would try lemon with water but usually anything acidic makes my stomach or colon worse, and right now I really wanna be careful not to make it even worse

      Very good advice gillian I would also recomend soaking all high phytic acid foods over night to in lemon I've been soaking my brown rice in apple cider vinegar and lemons its cleanede out along with soaking other high phytic acid foods in salt.

      I did it for 1 week solid it really did make a difference plus staying away from foods than can cause laxative problem.

      Its a start but ya gotta be strict.

      Same with changing oils in a diet it can take up to 3 months of commitment for it to really work
