Tooth extraction issues

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi all. I had my lower left molar extracted about 9 days ago. Yesterday it started to bleed a little at the extraction site (hole) after I used the syringe to get food particles out. Today i didn't even use the syringe and it still bled a little after I rinsed my mouth with salt water.

Why is it bleeding so often? It's like every little thing makes it bleed. How can I get it to stop?

I heard it's the tissue. But why does my tissue seem so sensitive?

I'm not on any medication. I've been doing salt water rinses.

Someone please help. TIA.

    Hello Jessica

I remember when I had my wisdom teeth taken out. But I don't recall it continuing to bleed. Have you got an infection in the gums still?

I think you should call your dentist and tell them what is happening so they can see you. It will be tender though.

But if it's still bleeding just go and have it checked to give you peace of mind ok.😀

Thanks. I actually just saw my dentist yesterday morning. I mentioned the bleeding to him and he stated since it's so little, it's probably just tissue that's healing over the hole.

Then yesterday afternoon and night is when it started bleeding again.

I guess I can call him again today.

Hello again Jessica can you try not to eat in that dude if your mouth?

Have you got mouthwash? Alcohol free don't get alcohol ones.

That should help to heal the tissue if it's not too sore.

Gargle you mouth woosh warm salt water around in your mouth that's a good antibacterial Aswell.

      I hope this helps you😀

Thanks! Yes I've been lightly rinsing my mouth with warm salt water every day. But yesterday it caused the hole to bleed.

So now I'm not even sure what I can do!

Does the hole heal from the bottom up? I currently have food stuck in the hole and I can't use the syringe because it makes me bleed.

Everything that touches that makes me bleed a little sad
