Tooth infecton HELP swollen!

5 days ago my broken tooth started pulsing and it lasted a whole night.. In the morning I felt that my jaw is swollen.. I called my dentist and they gace me appointment for nezt day..Next day I felt a hard ball under mi jaw on the left side and that area around that lymph node is also swollen. I got to dentist and she opened the tooth and took a "needle" and let something out of my tooth. She gave me antibiotic (penicillin - klavocin"wink and i started to drink that the same evening.. now 34hours have passed and not only my lymph node is swollen, but my whole neck is. I can't see my adams apple anymore. I still have temperature 37.9C and still have problems with swallowing because it hurts. Is it normal that my neck is swollen because antibiotics are not working yet as I have read that they need around 48h to start working. I am really afraid that my dentist done something wrong or he didn't clean my root canal good enough.. any advice?
