My age is 23,I have OLP and a lichenoid dermataitis for almost eight years, eating spicy or hot foods I have already stopped....my first doctor(SKIN-SPECIALIST) prescribed me two medicine...tacroze forte and clonate F cream.....they were really working for my skin disorder...but I found one day that the conventional toothpaste I use(ofcourse have been using for years),is the real culprit for it affects my mouth....I have an irritation in my mouth while using this..though I couldn't guess it before...as my tooth-condition is very bad,I have to brush my teeth twice with it....feeling helpless, just I consulted with a dental surgeon....he said that ELGYDIUM ANTI-PLAQUE TOOTHPASTE is a good substitute for the conventional ones....I WANT TO KNOW...is it really an ideal one for a patient of OLP?

I developed Oral Lichen Planus a few months ago. It is quite troubling and like the OP I have had to steer away from the spicy foods I used to so enjoy. Chinese friends of mine suggested I might want to try a famous Chinese medication that is used for bleeding and swelling. It is called "Yunnan Baiyao" and it's available in powder, capsule and toothpaste forms. You can get it Chinese medicine shops or from Ebay, which is where I ordered it. I have yet to receive it but I will write back to let you all know how I get on. The Chinese doctors are adamant it will help.

I started using a toothpaste called Oranurse which I got from Amazon. It has had a fantastic effect on my OLP. It worked within days. My gums are not sore when I brush them any more, and today for the first time in years they didn't bleed one little bit when I brushed them. The colour is also much better, nowhere near as red and inflamed. I would definitely recommend using it. I have had OLP for about seven years.
