Welcome janetfo!! Yes it is. Was your surgery anterior or posterior? If it involves cutting the butt muscles there's going to be that pressure and pain. I'm almost 6 months out and some chairs are uncomfortable I feel like I'm sitting on a lump of some kind!! And I get a burning pinching pain on operated side of buttock. The lump feeling has gotten better but still there nonetheless. The burning pinching pain just started about a month ago or so. Try using a good cushion. And ice to help with swelling. You are still very early in just having surgery. Best of luck to you for a speedy recovery. Hugs 🤗. LD

      Hello Renee

Am staying away from sitting for to long, it is just uncomfortable , funny how Little this thing is thinking about the big picture but it really bugs me. I think am doing really good, easy to get up and walk about, stairs seem to be going easy for me as well. Thanks for asking jan

      hi jan,

looks like you are doing very well except for the sitting for longer time ... how long do you last?  you are sitting on a battered part of your body, darling ... how is your scar ?  did you have staples ? if so, when will they be taken out ...

I had 2 posterior THR surgeries, stapled scars and found things got better after staples were removed ...

be gentle and kind to your self and patient, very patient ...

      angel blessings

Hi. Your reply has given me hope. Sittin in my chair about 10 minutes. My surgery was posterior and am stapled. Staples to come out in a couple of days not looking forward to that the nurse already said that some of the areas still a little bit wet so I don't think it's gonna be much fun. Whatever made me think it was gonna be fun at all.

When I sit am close to the incession but not on it. Am comfortable in bed with pillows not really sitting bit more slouching.

Am up and down walk around even do stairs no more than 10 minutes at a time however. So I think I'm doing pretty well overall.

I can see and feel a problem coming with constipation seems to get harder and harder to go the bathroom. Hard to relax sitting on the commode. I'm taking a laxative and a stool softener. I think I'm really going to start watching what I eat make sure it's often fibrous.

    Most common feeling post-hip operation!

Mine felt like sitting on a pile of golfballs (see my website), but now it feels like a lamp postconfused

    Best wishes
