total knee replacement

hi 6 weeks into my op and still no proper sleep taking co codimol 2 at night as per doctor, but not sure what to take for the pain during the day, my surgeon told me it would be painful, but there's pain and then pain, not sure what to do taking over my life, all I hear my self say is oh the pain, my hip hurts, my back aches, I try to stay positive, every day a bonus, but oh does it hurt

    Oh yeah.....that's me....I beg for more pills....Tylenol with codeine...I take at night so I can sleep....during the day I try to take Motrin...but if I am crying...really......I do cry....I pop another codeine pill....is my life saver....I then I go into hot shower on my right knee that feels great!!! Also I go and get a massage....to loosen up those tight tendon....this knee replacement is brutal....but everyday.....is getting better....Hang in there....soon we won't have any pain and no more happy pills!!!!

    Hey...Chris.hang in there it will get better did my total knee one year ago ...remember them nights....I use to cry all the time....keep taking meds and the icing help too....can you believe that I will be doing my other knee...in January....chugging here we go again....but long run.....it is worth it.... I can walk!
