Hi all!
This year have been very scary for me. I started experiencing anxiety, daily headaches, some days I have dizziness and off balance feeling, neck pain, pain everywhere, my periods are not regular as before (last one lasted 2 days only). Went to my GP, he did hormonal test and said everything is normal. But I feel not well every day. I am scared that I am missing something - can not believe hormones can make you feel like a completely different person. Anyone else like me and what are you doing about it?

I feel you pain sweetie...been outta sorts this whole Christmas. Periods have really dwindled but symptoms get crazy. It's true that doctors really don't get it. It's scary and you are not alone <3

Thank you Nancy! This is so not fair, no one prepares you for this. All everybidy says about menopause is hot flushes. Well, there is so much more.... I forgot to mention the shaky legs too. Just a disaster.
Nancy, are taking any supplements, have you found anything to help?

Oh hun,
I have felt many times like I must have something seriously wrong with me. Like how can I feel so bad and still be alive lol. I know diet is important and I get an F on that grade. Exercise is supposed to help but I get an F on that too! I do take supplements and yes I do that they help but not enough. I have chronic fatigue as well since my 20's so some days I just crash. It is nice not getting my period every month. I used to bleed so heavy!

They definitely make you feel like a different person, overnight! It will eventually balance out from what I've been told. Hang in there!

I booked an app with ND. I know they do saliva testing for hormones, which is more reliable than blood test in the beginning of peri. Hopefully it will give some answers to which hormones are low....

I have a wonderfull Dr who listened to me and sent me for every test. I thought sure I was dying.
Once everything came back ok I felt better. I was having yearly paps with biopsies on my cervix and uterus, which if you've ever had them you know are no fun.
I'm a year out of having my total hysterectomy and I am feeling some relief. Most days. Still have very, very rough days. You have to pamper yourself. It is time for you?

Well, this is a take home kit. It has sertain number of tubes (depending on what are you being tested for) and instructions. It is a month long testing after which the samples are sent to a lab and they measure the level of hormones in the saliva.
If you want, google saliva hormone testing, there is a lot of info in the net.

Hello flower, you are definitely not alone in how you feel. I felt just the way that you described about 8 months ago. Hormones out of balance will do a number on you. You are hormonal normal though. It took me going to 5 different doctors before the last one told me it was perimenopause. She didnt even look at my blood work she just listened to my symptoms. All of the other doctors told me my blood test were normal and that it was depression. Its horrible that some doctors dont get it. I am alot better now.....I walk everyday even if I dont feel like it and I take vitamin D3 as well. I pray, read my daily devotional, nap( if need be) and watch comedies and old tv shows. You will feel better it just takes a little while and some work on being good to yourself. I still have icky days but not as many as before. I hope that this helps
Take care!

You are not alone. I had no idea it would be like this and was not prepared for all of the misery. I too have the headaches and dizziness and feeling off balance. Also suffering from burning and numb tongue, weird tastes in my mouth, and heart palpitations. All of these symptoms peak when my period starts and last until after ovulation. Once my cardiologist clears me I'm going to see my gyno to beg for some help. Good luck to you. Xxx

Yes, I had this. In Sept. I had all that you described plus non-stop eating and napping. I knew something didn't feel right. Blood work came back great. I knew that I needed to do more for myself. I bumped up vitimins and started taking some new ones too. Then I started moving more-- either a short walk or floor exercises and eating more fruits and veggies. I still feel dizzy/spacy sometimes, have anxiety but nothing like before. I just have to remember to be good to myself and take it day by day.
