Totally Painless Colonoscopy

Having read this forum two days ago prior to my colonoscopy and being scared to the point of contemplating cancelling, I feel the need to balance out the experience with others about to have theirs done.

Started the moviprep 5pm monday 20th April, had no problems with this and went to bed at 11pm having consumed the two litres.

Wonderful nights sleep with no trips to the loo.

My appointment was at 1020am, arrived in good time was prepped by the nurses.I had decided that I would have the sedation following advice from others  Led in to the room, nurse explained that it was down at the bottom, and a giggle helped lighten the atmosphere.

The procedure from then on  was sooooo easy with absolutly no pain, a tiny bit of cramping but hardly worth mentioning.I never thought i would, but I watched the screen the whole time and found myself chatting to the staff throughout..Finished very quickly with two polyps removed.

I didnt feel drugged in the least even though the doctor gave me 10 of something and 3 of another. My wife who collected me says I sound as if Ive had a few pints but I feel perfectly normal!!

Anyway folks please please please dont worry about it it is without doubt so easy without the slightest bit of pain or dicomfort.I think the trick is relax relax relax..

That's the way it is for most people, the silent majority. No one I spoke before having mine had a problem with it.
