Toxic Gasses from Dishwasher causing Globus

Can someone please explain this to me, because it honestly seems like the type of thing that get defunct on QI.

Surely whatever comes out of a dishwasher is just water vapor and soap.

I've had dishwashers since I was about 7, and it's never given me any type of trouble.....

Well that seems a bit far-fetched to me, but I would try anything to relieve the globus. So why not just wash-up by hand for a month and see if there's a change in your globus?

No, no, I'm don't think it's the cause (well I suppose it could, but nothing's definite yet), I'd just like it explained....

What??? I have never heard of such a thing. I travel extensively for my work and when I first had symptoms, I was not at home. I was, however, under a great deal of stress. I am pretty convinced that it is stress related. I can tell a difference from the work week to the weekend. I will be taking a week off in November and am anxious to see if there is any difference. The last time I was on break, I spent the entire week with doctor appointments trying to figure out what it was. So we'll see. I will keep you posted.
