Tramadol and Zopiclone?

Have just been prescribed tramadol 50mg for trapped nerve pain. Occasionally I take 7.5mg zopiclone as I have trouble sleeping, and notice that it is advised not to take sleeping tablets with tramadol, I only use them now and again for 2/3 nights would this be OK?

Any drug, taken over a long period of time is addictive. The same goes for smoking, caffeine and to a certain extent sugar!
Yes, there are a hell of a lot of people out there in absolute agony through withdrawal symptoms. But you cannot arbitrarily lay the blame at the door of doctors. There is no shame in being hooked on a specific painkiller. At the time of taking it must have been a real sanity saver. So let's not knock it and just support those that are trying to come off it, without making them feel bad for taking it in the first place.
(In case you are wondering, yes I have been on Tramadol and yes I came off them)
