TRAMODOL and Paracetmol

I went to the doctors today. She had give patches to put on my back but I saw the physiotherapst who said my pain was deep inside and gave me a tens machine. It works but if I take it off my pain comes back. I fractured the lower vertebrae after a fall. I am on tramodol and asked whether she might prescribe a stronger pain killer. I didn't think she would say yes. I was on Tramodol at first to use when required then \i went on Tramodol regulary. My GP has now added Paracetamol I think 500mgs 2 tablets 4 times a day as she says this helps the tramodol to work better. I am too on antidepressants but my GP seems quite happy for me to continue on Tramodol. I am not too sure how Tramodol and antidepressants work by both my 2 GPs seem to be happy with this situation. I wonder if anyone has been prescribed Tramodol and then added Paracetamol to make the Tramodol work better. I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has had this combination. Tramodol does not help but my GP says with Paracetamol it will act better.

I didn't get any support only morphine based drugs. The fracture was at my lower vertebrae and it happened about two years ago. I went to the musculoskelatal clinic at my GP surgery and the physiotherapist said the fracture was healed but the patches which the doctor had prescribed only helped surface pain and my pain was coming from deep inside. He said the muscles were tight and inflamed and after a few movements he said there was literally no movement and gave me a tens machine to try and its ok but I can't wear it all day and as soon as it comes off the pain comes back. It was just last week when visiting my doctor again who said paracetamol would help the Tramodol as the Tramadol was really helping. I came from just using it when I needed to be on regular medication and now the Paracetamol.I did ask about a stronger painkiller but the doctor I think did not want to go that road but thank you for your reply mine is quite long so apologise for that. Thank you

No, haven't been to Doc yet, as was hoping the pain would wear off with exercise.

Went to the Doc today. He says its to do with muscles in the back. Movements are very stiff there. So am back on Diclofenac, and have to do stretching exercises. Report didn't say what happened in the op, but said they found nothing awful in the labwork....which I am obviously relieved to hear.
