Has anyone used this and if so, please share your experiences.
I"ve had sleep issues chronically for 20+ years. It's creating chaos and havoc in my life. Im depleted adrenally and exhausted ALL the time. I do take a lot longer than most to fall asleep. However, i awake quite easily and won't be able to fall back asleep. So, i have adjusted my sleep time to late so that i awake at more optimal time. Sometimes it may take 2-3 hours of lying about befor ei can fall back asleep. this can't happpen bc then it's time to wake up!!
I've done 2 sleep studies, i've been prescribed an epilepsy drug to try for a week. didn't work. Then was put on an anti depressant to alleviate the sleep. Nada. So i take nothing. PLEASE SHARE YOUR IDEAS, EXPERIENCES!

Might not apply to you, but I had similar not-nice sleep issues for 5 horrible years. I also realised the hard way, the value of the saying by Einstein, the definition of insanity as "doing the same thing and expecting a different result".
One day I read about how someone had sleep problems and they had solved them with diet. I'll explain once I tell you what I then did.
I saw an "intuitive naturopath" who my dad recommended. She "had a look" and told me that, thanks to my years of drugs and fear-based approach to life, i had worn down my adrenal system and nerves. (Again, this is just for me, and please see a professional before you try this yourself). She advised taking a regular mineral dose, to nourish body and restore my nervous system, along with taking the following things out of diet:
gluten (I am allergic to it along with 30% of population, apparently)\
sugar (acts strongly on adrenals)\
caffeine (no-brainer)
She also advised eating more, to help regain weight that i've lost and again, to calm and nourish my adrenal system, including more dark-green vegetables, and well-cooked meat.
Its been a challenge to shop well and eat consistently at first (actually it was cheaper for me than eating all the processed sweets and snacks at least!), but I am finally sleeping better.
Between doing this, and using an organic pillow and a mattress topper, my sleep has dramatically improved. I am calmer, no longer frantic, and no longer have the weird shaking sensations in my body that i used to have, during and after sleep.
I also stopped using the computer or phone in my bed, late at night, that did not help lol.
Not saying this will work for you, but its another option you have in your repertoire.
In addition to that, and you've probably most of these, but keep in mind the importance of having a comfy bed (you can even try floor-sleeping if that's your preference), clean sheets and vacuum regularly (once a week), and making sure your room is not too hot or cold, (or bright).
I say all this with confidence because i've gone through what you've gone through and know how horrible it is, and tried and tested each of these things.
Also I recommend keeping a sleep journal, so you can see the effects of any changes you've made. Write down each night and/or week what you've tried / will try and then how it worked. Don't obsess over minute changes. You want to see how it improves your sleep over a week or so (while relying on your intuition). Have a broad perspective, as tough as it is right now.
Let me know how it goes.
