I had the surgery , thumb trapeziectomy , 3 weeks ago.
When the surgeon removed the dressing he simply told me to touch my thumb with each finger twice an hour and sent me on my way. He didn't give me any sort of splint.
Has this happened to anyone else? I am in a lot of pain and I am wondering if a splint would maybe help?
