is the anxiety related to the actual traveling , traffic, etc or is it more related to the Social situation when you get there? or both?

so when we have an underlying anxiety from years ago it can resurface when we get fearful about something or have strong scary negative thoughts, etc. I’ve had anxiety since childhood and have been battling it all these years.

I don’t really think that medical science really understands it to a great degree. At least not yet. I think the best thing we can do is find ways to manage it and hold it at bay when we need to. What we think is hugely important because that can make everything worse or better.

anxiety has a genetic predisposition in some people. That includes me. so if I can’t get rid of it 100% I have to find ways to really reduce it.when we have the emotion of fear, people with anxiety have brains that will go into overdrive so we have to relax it.

one thing I learned over the years is that it’s really important to breathe properly when you have anxiety or Panic. those breathing meditations on YouTube can really calm everything down for me. A lot of people who have anxiety are shallow breathers which makes anxiety worse.

keep telling yourself that everything is going to be fine. We can actually fool our brains into feeling better. Whatever you tell yourself, whether it’s positive or negative, it will expand! So it’s really important to be positive!

check out some videos on fear and how to control it. There’s lots of good information to help you. ❤
