Travel Insurance - post hip replacement

Posted , 6 users are following.

Hi all

I am planning my first holiday since my THR last April from the UK to the USA.

I was wondering if any of you wonderful hippies can recommend a decent, reasonably priced insurer?

Thanks in advance

Paula

I typed insurance after a hip replacement into Google. Several came up, one flexi....... Was very good for what I needed, Europe, it told me how much difference the hip made. All done on line

    Hi Paula,

I have been in travel business for 0ver 40 years and the last 10 years for a big American touroperator  and agree with Sassy -

If you are getting your tickets through a travel agent and they offer insurance, go with them - read the policy thoroughly - also when you go through a broker - this is really important - I have worked with travel insurance companies -

I also advise you to take out cancellation insurance -

Travel agent will be the one you can send your claim to etc (Not my favorite part of the job cry

Something nice to look forward to in 2016 !!!!!

    warm big hug

Most Uk policies include options such as cancellation, delay, luggage, volcano eruptions etc and you pick and choose and what level of cover you want. Policies are Europe, Rest of world except USA and Canada and world including USA and Canada.

    Hi Paula

You may be already covered through your bank. If not on the account that you have but maybe an upgrade. I'm with a high st bank and my wife and I are covered for all year comprehensive cover and that includes skiing. Not that I'll be doing that again for a while lol or should it be cry
