Travelling with enbrel syringes through Dubai

Hi, just wondered if anyone has any experience of travelling with Enbrel syringes.  I will have a letter confirming the prescription but it's been a few years since I've done this and I know regulations are changing all the time.  I am travelling to Australia transiting through Dubai so I will need to take the syringes through customs in Dubai.  Anyone able to advise if they've done this recently?

thanks

    Hi muddypaws

No experience of Dubai or Australia however travelled extensively in Europe and USA (pretty hot on drugs there!) with no problems whatsoever. I carry a letter written by Rheumatology Specialist Nurse at all times and as yet, have not been asked for evidence. Hope you receive specific replies to the country's you are visiting. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks for the info. Put my mind at ease a bit. It's the syringes that I'm concerned about but I did go through dubai customs about 5 years ago and the customs official was quite officious. Thanks again

Traveled through out USA the thing to remember is your letter from the Rhumetologist and to carry the Enbrel in the box with the prescription on it.

It has been no problem in Canada and EU.  You can bring a frozen gel pack with it through security even though frozen gel packs are prohibited for any other purpose (other than with medication).

I have brought a letter with but nobody has ever asked to see it.
