Trazodone. How long does it take to settle in your system?

Started 50 mg Trazodone 11days ago. Works well for sleep and morning anxiety. But afternoons and evenings feel anxious and have weakness.  Is this normal and does it go away?

    I am on day 20 of 50mg trazodone, and still get no relief. Falling asleep isnt the issue, it is staying asleep. Something as simple as going to the bathroom will leave my mind restless. I have contacted my doctor, and I am waiting for follow up as he instructed me to if the medication was not working. I cant take anything with an extreme hangover because I work on heavy equipment and take drug tests regularly. But enough is enough, I want a good nights sleep, it gets terribly frustrating when you are laying there staring at the clock from midnight to four in the morning. Then when you finally fall asleep your alarm is banging at you one hour later at five. I will follow up with my solution after a doctor visit.

    I am on day 7 of 100 mg of trazadone at bedtime..Definitely helps me sleep but not worth feeling like dodo the next day. .Anxious , lethargic, lightheaded all the next day along with some heart palpitations...Think the side effects affect people differently but there are some nasty side effects..Back to melatonin for me.
