Treating muscle loss due to PMR and /or Pred with muscle building protein drinks

Has anyone tried Muscle building products, I have had PMR for 10yrs now and have seen my muscle tone disappear, and wonder if there is anything else to try.

    Drinks don't build muscle on their own - only when taken in moderation and with appropriate exercise. Unless you are a body builder or eating an appalling diet you don't need supplements to build muscle, a normal diet with 60g of protein a day is said to be enough for most people and in the USA and probably most of Europe many people are eating far more than that. An 8oz steak has about that - without the protein being obtained from the rest of their diet.

    If you eat too much protein then the excess is also stored as fat - how much protein takes you from "enough" to "too much" depends in the person, their state of health (especially their kidneys) and their level of activity.
