Treating raw areas

Posted , 7 users are following.

I have been diagnosed a month ago, but have had this for about 20 years. I was given clob and Premarin and had a biopsy and am waiting to see my regular doctor next week and have been referred to gyno. My Dr did not explain at all, biopsy was so painful and she was bad at it. I found online that I was using clob not correctly so just changed that. I'm wondering about a raw area... Beside just washing with warm water and baking soda... Anything else so it heals quicker? I have not had intercourse in six months due to pain and just thought dryness from menopause. I am on bioidentical hormones and was given vagifem about a year ago. I have quit eating all grains and sugar. I'm following _____________ and believing I can heal myself. any suggestions? Other than this, I am healthy, not really overweight, active outdoorsy person, stress is my big one that I need to get rid of.

I got some bad information on one doctor visit so upped the frequency of cortisone use in response to raw spots. This just made the raw spots worse! What works best for me is sticking to a diet of food that's good for me and plenty of chlorine-free water.

If you do heal your self be sure to let me know what you did

But for now make sure that you are moisturizing I use evening primrose oil and coconut oil and Vaseline when I'm out or at work and are you using steroid ointment to stop the flare up and keep it in control

I use the emuaid was bar and cream every day. If bad do clob at night and emuaid in the morning. Heals cracks on perineum quickly and keeps the area moisturised and comfortable.

My findings are that the healing is a slow process.  Slowly but surely though.  Next to the things you already mentioned I also use coconut oil.  Have used Emu oil as well under more severe conditions.

Hi,  I recently had a flare up and used Manuka Honey along with my usual meds as a trial.  Worked brilliantly.  I had read that others were swearing by this.  I was quite surprised that this worked so well.  I have since researched Manuka Honey and it is used to heal open sores as well.

Most supermarkets sell it here in the Uk.  It is expensive but it supposedly works better than ordinary honey. Good luck
