Trembling

Hi again, I think I may win the prize for the most questions.  Imexercisedearly today (1 mile) and then did about 10'minutes of strength training but am waiting for a trainer to give me guidance.  I was a bit sob, (not last two times) and now I am trembling.  Mostly my legs.  Did I overdo or is trembling another issue in COPD?

Maryterese.....  smile  First of all, you can never ask too many questions....that's what we're all here for.  You may have overdone with the exercise if it was your first time for a while.    Maybe start out a little easier and walk one day, then strength training the next.  Be sure to let your trainer know that you have lung issues - I'm sure you are not the first.  I haven't heard of trembling being an issue with COPD.

Thank you Sandy! Upon thinking about it I was just going to write that I must have overdid it.  I am going to make the most of a trainer.  I think I will do minimal walking tomorrow.  Thanks again!

Do you have an emergency inhaler? Sounds like that was a good time to get a couple of puffs. Also some deep breathing so oxygen can go all thru your tissues may help. The flip side of that is....sometimes the medicine can make you trimble if you have a puff or two too many. Also...your legs could have simply been trimbling from the workout...u used some muscles you don't normally use alot. Which one of these do you think applied to you?

    Lady jack,

i am am still shocked at how I was able to go 1-2 miles with no sob for two days and then have such a setback.   I did use the inhaler but trembling continued for a while.  I do think I pushed myself because I am out of shape, anyway (non-related, really).

Now today I still feel a bit trembly and fatigued, lightheaded.   This is very distressing because I did not push that much as far as it seemed at all.  Barely 10 minutes of free weights is what did it.  I am hoping I will recover from this soon and then be careful about pushing.

I should add that I am still recovering from the bronchospasm but I felt fine to exercise.  Now I guess it is that along with the rest.   Not good.  Thank you!

Will try to be more positive about realizing I pushed myself and be careful.  Also get some guidance.
