Trich or BV or something else?

I've had a new partner for a month now. A week after being sexual, I started getting watery green discharge that smelled. After a week or so of that I got my period which ended 8 days ago. Ever since my period ended, I have been now having bright red bloody discharge that smells. I have gone to the doctor for samples that have been sent to the lab, but in the meantime does anyone know what this could be? The nurse said it's most likely BV , but I don't see anything online about bleeding with BV, so I'm wondering if it could be trich. Any ideas? I have no other symptoms

    Hi v,

    It sounds like trichomonas. I would expect your doctor to give you a prescription of metronidazole.

      thanks adhari! my doctor gave me a prescription for that this morning so seems you were right
