I could not handle the side effects of Lexapro. After 5 days I stopped. I was on a very low dose. I've had increased anxiety for a few days now, is that the withdrawal from 5 days? Can it be in your system that fast?

    Hi,

I took Lexapro for a little over two weeks and I couldn't take it. It made me feel horrible in any way imaginable. I stopped cold turkey, now i have experience increased aniexty, stomach discomfort, bouts of want to cry and insomnia. I am also trying to figure out if these are normal withdrawal symptoms and how long will they last

Hello there - it takes a few weeks for it to get into your system properly and to start working with various symptoms along the way and I think you just have to push through these couple of weeks until they kick in and you start to feel better.  Sounds like you are experiencing the start up effects (they really will go soon) rather than withdrawal.
