Hi Carol - I just read your post.  Could you please tell me what pip means.  So sorry, for your pain but I can certainly elaborate much more to your post.  Awaiting for your reply.

Carol - PIP is not something I am familiar with.  I live in Canada and have not heard of this before.  I can certainly identify with your pain.  I was diagnosed with TN in 2006 and had MVD surgery in 2009.  The surgery was not successful and, therefore, had to go on disability.  The pain can be debilitating.  I do have days of low tolerable pain but have many days with pain levels so high I am in bed for a few days in a row.  When my pain levels are high I do not and cannot eat.  I drink alot of nutritional drinks and have to use a straw.  A terrible way to try and get through the days.  I do take a pain med which will help reduce the pain level but when the pain gets too out of control, I just have to wait it out.  Are you on a pain med.  If not, I would strongly suggest that you do take some kind of pain relief - for now, it's all the medical community has to offer.  I have went for several nerve blocks along with Botox injections and none of these treatments offered me any form of relief. Again, I am so sorry that you are suffering so much from TN - wishing you nothing less than the best and hope that some pain-free days will happen for you.
