So sorry to hear about your pain, I had TN for 3 years and without meds I wouldnt have made it!! my body got use to it tho so I opted for the Surgery, IT WAS THE BEST DECISION OF MY LIFE!! I WAS UP WALKING AROUND LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED IN 2 DAYS! You still have to be on bed rest tho so you brain can heal. Dr. John Lee at Penn Medicine in Philly was a Godsend he is the best in the Business! So having said that 1st I recommend you try carbamazepine tell you Dr. to keep upping the dosage until your pain is relieved this is very important because the pain gets unbearable! once you've managed your pain symptoms (you'll still have a little but at least you wont want to kill yourself from the pain anymore🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️) your good until the meds stop working then I say get THE SURGERY!! To be honest I wish I saved 3 years of my life and just got the surgery!! well good luck and may God bless you...I'm here if you have any more questions 👍🏾
