I cant tell you how happy i am to have found this site!

while walking my dogs 6 weeks ago i tripped and broke my ankle in 3 places. Was recommended surgery but as it was all aligned decided against it. Week 4 in plaster and I slipped on my compression stocking on the good leg! Bones moved so had to have surgery. pins and screws fitted. After a few days had terrible burning feeling over the top of my foot.. which made no sense to me.. was really worried but now Ive read about all of your experiences I feel less worried! Thank you all for posting your experiences.. you've really helped me! Think i need to up the meds though! Off to surgeon visit tomorrow.. hope i can get cast off and into a boot!

About 5 weeks ago I slipped on ice walking my dog! i also have a 3 fractures in my ankle but i went to surgery right away. For the past week and a half the nerve pain has been really rough. like yours it is on the top of my foot. The doctor said that nerve is really shallow. i suspect the pain is worse because that nerve is healing (my theory). Last week they tried to put me in a boot but it was causing pain at fracture site when up on knee scooter.

your story and others on here sound so similar to mine thank you for sharing. Next week of all is well I start weight bearing and my doctor says it will be rough. Good luck all it is a bumpy ride! Thanks for sharing!
