Trimalleolar ORIF postop...day 1.

Posted , 2 users are following.

Had a 2 week gap between injury and surgery and had lots of time to google. I found this site and have found it so helpful and comforting.

It sounds like I have a long road ahead and can see myself continuing to use you great people as a resource. Thanks for caring for us newbies and acting as our ankle injury sherpas.

I had the same injury as you. I also dislocated it back in November.

12 screws, 2 plates. It's been a long road but so far so good. When you're finally able to weight bare, keep at it. Physical therapy will be a huge help. Practice, practice practice walking as normal as possible, it will help with recovery. Cannabis has been a great way to ease pain and keep my sanity. Good luck!
