I am 6 weeks post op from surgery on my ankle. Able to put weight on my ankle as toloeratex but I have a lot of numbness and tingling on the balls of my foot as well as my toes. Is this normal?

Yes, totally normal because we all have slightly different injuries and ways of healing. I am at 9 weeks post op and I when I walk ( with crutches) I do get the pins and needles feeling in my heel and the rest the bottom of my foot is pretty numb. I was told that the nerves take the longest to recover and it can take some time. However, that has not stopped my from working real hard to be completely mobile, it just may take a bit longer. It will be ok. Just try to be patient...it takes time to recovery from something like this and like I said, everyone’s “normal” is a little different

Yeah. Thanks for responce. Once the pain from surgery went away I was hopeful that would be the end of it. This new form of pain caught me off guard. Rehabbing hard but growing inpatient with the time it’s taking. Appreciate the support. You rock 💪🏻

It seems to me that different kinds of paind keep appearing for quite a long time. I am 3 months post initial surgery and 9 days post screws removal op. Not that much pain after the screws op but pins abd needles in my toes and sort of 'electric shock' sensations in my foot.
What you have been experiencing is quite normal.
