i had painful bladder but no cystitis or bleeding. dr gave trimethroprim and my anxiety levels rocketed after two doses, couldnt sleep and nausea bad. i already have an anxietyproblem and this has made it worse. have had to take 10mg diazepam and still feel awful. i am feeling i cannot continue trimethroprim. has anyone else had anxiety and nausea with it

Ask your doctor to give you Nitrofurantoin instead of Trimethoprim. Anxiety and nausea are side effects of Trimethoprim.
