Trombocytopenia and TMA

Hi. Im from Sweden so sorry if I dont do correct spelling, I try my best. I cant fins a forum of trombocytepenia and TMA ( trombotic micro angiapti ?). I was on SSRI, first Seratriline then Lexapro, becuase I was burned out and had a depression. Tma is a very rare condition, and its acute and dangerous. I first noticed som bruises on my lower legs, and I think that was only a few days before I got really really sick. In hospital for three weeks. I have now, this was in october 17, become very depressed and frightened that it will come back. They tested me out on everything, even complement testing. They dont know why it happend, so doctor say I should aviod some supplements, SSRI, Restylane fillers, diklogenak Ibumetin etc.

Its very rare to get trombocytepenia out of  ( for example) SSRI but it can  happen. Trombocytepenia is milder than TMA, dont know how to explain that correct. Is there a forum for this, I dont find it? I understand that this is an odd question as the diagnos is rare.  TMA can come out of drugs and supplements, ginseng, quinin, Ibumetin, SSRI and etc.Im so so scared that I should get TMA again its "eating me from inside" the fare and so on :-((, and dr: s say they dont know why I got it...

Thanks and regards

Hi Annesj, I’m sorry you have been poorly, but glad you are better now😀I think there is only one thing you can do and that is look after yourself, eat well and excercise, get enough sleep and live in the moment. To worry is not helpful,it will make you ill,all you can do is your best and if it does come back you will be ok because you were before. We don’t know what’s in store for us and the past has gone so it is now that only matters.Be positive and attract good things, you will find they come to you if you do.Good luck.??😀🙂
