Smiley: put my trousers on standing up! Able to kneel on grass too...

Frowney: discovered if I sneeze, new hip quivers and feels wobbly and vul erable!

Strange the hippy recovery journey!

      Hi Valerie

Hope work goes well....guess you can put your own clothes on now all by yourself. Gosh our achievements sound like those of a 4 years old!

But real for us....enjoy first day back and maybe no crutches?!

I'm not a sneezy type person so can't say I've noticed that. Haven't tried kneeling or anything yet though, not in a rush to try or I might just have to stay there!

Did not one but 2 supermarkets today. Will probably pay for that tomorrow.

Well done Mic. Every move forward needs to be celebrated. I can just about manage trousers (7wk post op) but haven't dared kneel yet. Am looking forward to swimming soon although doc says forget breaststroke for at least 12 months, which I find strange as loads of folk on here are doing it ok. I find it difficult to swim any other stroke but I guess just getting into the water will help.

Managed quite a long walk around town yesterday without stick. Have slight limp but I expect that will improve. How are you doing as I think we about same stage?

I'm sitting here trying to remember when I last sneezed!

    Hi Jane ak Ferrets wife!

Yes, excited by new doings, tho someone at Quaker meeting very concerned I was falling onto me knees on the grass when taking childrens class! Still needed an old gravestone to get me up after tho.

I was done on Fri 27 Feb, so maybe a few days younger than yours?

Tired after...dont feel confident to weed garden yet or bend to low....but its a long journey

      Morning Mic,

You always manage to make me smile and laugh out loud at your comments. As I say I haven't tried kneeling yet, might try a walk through the village churchyard later!!

I can bend quite low and can do socks and shoes, pick stuff up off the floor etc., but am very careful. My op was Fri 20 Feb. so a week between us. I too am shattered quite alot of the time but i've stopped feeling bad about taking off to bed for a snooze.

Keep posting and try not to kneel and sneeze at the same time!

      Jane
